– We will be able to finalise the purchase of the land! As you will see from the attached photo, we only owe £500 more (due on 20th May), and because of your donations we already have the funds to do this, thank you so much!

NEXT STEPS:
1. After we have completed the land purchase, we will hire an architect to design the orphanage. We need about £1000 to do this
2. We will lay the inital foundation at the land (we do not have the estimate for this yet)

WHAT WE NEED:

Please remember that in addition to the orpanage we will build together with you, we also need to keep feeding the children every day, pay for their medication and buy necessities for them. In the near future we also want to send them to school, so they can contribute to society. We are seeking sponsorships for this. Please do ask us about this if you are interested.

I attach the receipt for this payment as I always do. As you can see, we have a balance of £1,900 remaining.

Thanks so much for your continued contribution and please do continue helping us. Because of your help we are able to continue caring for the orphans we are looking after, as well as continue paying for the land.  The big project will of course come as soon as we have paid off the land. We will need substantial funds to build the orphanage itself.  However, I have seen how much you have been helping and I am confident that we will build the orphanage and give these children the safety and peace that they deserve.

We have gone past £10,000 in donations. Thank you all so much for the funds raised. With your help we have nearly completed the purchase of the land on which we will build the orphanage, and covered a large part of the food and medicinal costs of looking after the children.

This 1 year old girl, who has looked broken, does not want to interact, always in a sad state deserves a life like other children. She deserves to be given a reason to smile, to say something, to eat, to drink, to feel loved and protected, to be healthy, to be given an education. To have hope.

Your support is going to give her hope. I wanted to write this blog post to say, thank you! Your support has been incredible.

The arrangement is that we have put an initial downpayment for the land, and have agreed to pay the outstanding amount in monthly instalments. So, as you can imagine, this has meant we have agreed quite a commitment; but we are very confident that you will continue helping us and we will be able to meet all of our commitments on a monthly basis.

We have a long, LONG way to go on this project to build the orphanage and put in place a sustainable process, but this feels like a big step for us. Have a look at this video to see how we have also managed to buy some barbed wire and secured the land.
